Shine Your Brightest With This Big Day Fitness Plan

Wedding fitness plan

Impending spring means wedding season is just around the corner. Whether you will be the one in white, the one standing beside (on either side), or simply donning your fanciest outfit surrounded by childhood friends and exes you’re hoping to impress, our 6-week pre-wedding workout plan will get you ready for the big day!
This plan consists of five workout days and two active rest days per week. The main workout days include a combination of cardio, core, and strength. We know that if you’re involved in the wedding planning, time is scarce. So these workouts are designed to minimize the time you’ll need to spend in the gym. Push yourself on the weights you choose and increase the intensity of the cardio sessions for best results! Stress also is at an all-time high the weeks leading up to the event, so if you feel the need, active rest days can also be light cardio or yoga to help blow off a bit of steam, keep you moving, and burn a few extra calories.
Of course, even the best workout programs will not do the trick if we don’t address what’s happening in the kitchen. You’ll need energy for the workouts and your wedding prep, so no need to go crazy with calorie restriction. Focus on staying hydrated, cutting back on sugar (in food and beverages—especially the adult variety), and eating a good balance of protein, carbohydrates, and healthy fats.
